MAXX
started and practically finished their presence on Eurodance scene
in 1994 yet they gained significant populrity. Group scored big
with two huge hits "Get-A-Way" and "No
More (I Can't Stand It)". The name MAXX takes origin from
"maximum ecstasy" and represents the work of the co-producers The
Hitman (David Brunner), Dawhite (no-one else than O'Jay, the rapper
and co-producer of Real McCoy), the female vocalist LINDA MEEK,
and the rapper GARY BOKOE. Their dance act was enhanced by 2 dancers:
Emelle and Louise. LINDA MEEK replaced ALICE MONTANA (the voice
of "Get-A-Way") as female vocalist after she left
the band to become the vocalist of the SAMIRA project (dare or truth?).
Group released one album (in 1994) called "To The Maxximum"
and several singles with very good success.
